Cookie Policy

LAST UPDATED · 12 June 2026

[ 01 ]Overview
This policy explains how Protocore uses cookies and similar technologies on protocore.io, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly.
[ 02 ]What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let a site remember your actions and preferences over time, recognise your browser on a return visit, and understand how the site is being used.
[ 03 ]What we use today
We keep this to a minimum. Today, protocore.io sets no cookies at all — it stores only a small amount of functional data in your browser (such as your light or dark theme, and whether you have dismissed an on-page prompt) so it can remember those choices. We never use cookies or local storage to build advertising profiles or to track you across other websites.
[ 04 ]Essential storage
A couple of functional items — your theme choice and whether you have dismissed a prompt — are kept in your browser's local storage. They are set only when you make the choice, contain no identifying data, and simply let those preferences persist between visits. There are no essential cookies.
[ 05 ]Analytics
If we enable analytics, we use a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool that measures page views in aggregate — it sets no cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not identify you. It runs only after you accept the consent prompt, and you can decline. The site currently runs no analytics.
[ 06 ]Similar technologies
The functional preferences above are held in your browser's local and session storage rather than in cookies. Where this policy refers to cookies, it includes these technologies as well.
[ 07 ]Third-party services
We currently set no third-party cookies. If we later add a service such as cookieless analytics, we choose privacy-respecting configurations and describe the category here rather than a name that can change over time.
[ 08 ]Your choices
Because the site sets no cookies today, there is nothing to accept or decline right now. If we enable analytics, a consent prompt lets you accept or decline it, and you can change your choice at any time by clearing the site's stored data. Most browsers also let you block or delete site data in their settings.
[ 09 ]Changes
We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. The latest version is always posted on this page with the date shown above.
